Coastal Carolina University named a “Best Buy” in National Survey

Coastal CarolinaCoastal Carolina University has been named one of “America’s 100 Best College Buys” by Institutional Research & Evaluation Inc.  More than 1,000 colleges and universities were surveyed for the designation.

The Institutional Research & Evaluation Inc. specializes in recruiting and retention of students for institutions of higher education. The firm annually identifies the American colleges and universities that provide students the very best opportunities in higher education. No college or university paid to be included in these reports. Schools are included solely on the basis of merit.

This year institutions from 39 states responded to the 19th Annual National College Survey. A total of 1,451 accredited U.S. colleges and universities that offer four-year undergraduate degree programs and provide facilities for both room and board were surveyed; of those institutions, 1,195 schools responded.

Earlier this year, Coastal Carolina University was ranked in the top 15 percent of the nation’s four-year undergraduate institutions in “America’s Best Colleges 2009,“ compiled by Forbes and the Center for College Affordability and Productivity (CCAP).
