Bill Connor Releases Ethics Disclosure Reports

Connor 2009 fundraising tops $160K
COLUMBIA, SC – Support continues to build for Bill Connor’s candidacy, as the campaign filed its required quarterly ethics disclosures today. The disclosures showed that the campaign has now raised more than $164,000 for the year.
“I am both thrilled and humbled by the support our campaign has received so far,” Connor said. “Support from folks like Mike Brenan of BB&T, Cathy Novinger of the Palmetto Agribusiness Council, Frank and Pearl Tourville of Zeus, Carroll Rushing of the Society of International Business Fellows, Charlie Tapp of C&C Trucking, and Cheryl Smart of Duke Sandwich Company shows that business leaders understand first-hand that government programs are not the engine of prosperity in South Carolina. Their businesses are, and they want government to get off of their backs. That’s a large part of what our campaign is about,” he added.
“I’m also especially gratified by veterans across South Carolina who donated to the campaign, from active duty soldiers in the War on Terror to disabled Vietnam vets to Generals like Mick Zais, President of Newberry College, and James Livingston, the Medal of Honor recipient from Charleston. Having the support of those who have worn the uniform and defended our country means so very much to me, and I promise not to let those folks down.”
