Borders  Bookstore will close 4 of its  Waldenbooks Stores  in South Carolina, as part of  200 total stores it is closing nationwide. The stores will be open through the Holidays, and are scheduled to close early next year. The stores being closed are located in Columbia (Columbiana Centre), Hilton Head (Shelter Cove Mall), Greenwood (Greenwood Mall) and Greenville (Haywood Mall).  A company spokesperson advised that Gift Cards purchased  at the stores can be used at any of the  Borders or Waldenbooks locations,  or on www.Borders.com.
