Several lies I need to point out in this article;

~~~A US judge evidentially doesn’t want people in South Carolina to display the fact that they “Believe”.

Wrong, people are allowed to display religious icons on their car, this is about a license plate, not the whole thing. The reason it is not allowed is because it is against the constitution. Why should peoples taxes go towards things like this?

You clearly aren’t talking about the American Forefathers who made America as a secular nation because they actually considered the existence of people besides christians

Sorry, but “in favor of some folks our forefathers never considered” is just hooie. Our forefathers did NOT intend to create a Christian Nation, and stated so, explicitly. Unless you’re talking about plates for *all* groups (Judaism, Buddhist, Muslim, Wiccan…) you are violating the separation of church and state, and doing so in the face of all our ancestors who died for our freedom.

You believe a state not officially sanctioning a christian license plate is “persecution”? Chin up bud, some of your spiritual brethren faced lions with more grace.

The laws of this nation forbid the government from promoting one religion over another (or no religion). This is not persecution, this is the government behaving according to their promise. If you do not like it, you can seek to emigrate to a nation that does sanction Christianity as its official religion. There is a list available to you here:

Apart from not separating church and state, I could see how this would be offensive to people of other religions. What if you saw someone with a license plate bragging about the glory of Islam? Just because they’re your beliefs doesn’t mean they’re correct. Be a good Christian and treat others the way you want to be treated.

He might have been peaceful, but all the people that followed were FAR from peaceful, their’s been more deaths caused by christianty and other religions than one can even possibly fathom.

I’d rather have a picture of a bird or something, at least then I know there’s not some nutcase that’s going to go around blowing people up in “the name of god”

So the persecution of Christians continues. Even in the nation that proclaims itself to be that of “freedom of speech”.

It is quite ok, and no one listens to the discrimination complaints, on those who have Florida Seminole picture plates or Atlanta Braves plates or Cleveland Indians plates or any of the other many and sundry of plates that depict the American Indian in a negative light. Not to mention those who have plates that bear the Confederate flag, yes bet most of you God haters
outside of Alabama, Georgia, Lousiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North & South Carolina, Tennesee & Virginia didn’t know that they all have that option! Probably don’t care either!

The Constitution protects the individual against the tyranny of the majority – exactly what our forefathers contemplated. I served 22 years in the Marines and sent three sons to Iraq and Afghanistan for a total of six combat tours to fight religious repression, and I am proud that the judge’s decision arrived on the 234th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.
