South Carolina Department of Revenue signs up for Twitter

The South Carolina Department of Revenue joins many other state agencies on Twitter, the fastest growing micro-blogging site, to keep taxpayers up-to-date on news, legislation, seminars and more.

Twitter is a free social networking service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based messages of up to 140 characters displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers. Tweets can include links to documents elsewhere on the Internet.

SCDOR will utilize Twitter to post news about agency programs, updates about new information that is published to the SCDOR web site and important information for taxpayers. SCDOR’s twitter feed can be found at http://twitter.com/SCDOR.
