What Thanksgiving Means to Me (You)
We asked that question, and here are some of the responses:
Having quality time with family and friends. It doesn’t matter whether it is by phone or in person. Just saying Happy Thanksgiving is enough. As I become more and more aware that no one has a guarantee in life, we should cherish the time we have together… Cheryl- Greenville
Thanksgiving means 5 days off school…. Tommy (age 7) -Summerville
Spending as much free time as possible with my wonderful family.
Sometimes it is almost impossible for us to arrange entire days off together and when we do they’re usually filled with errands and taking care of things we think are more important. No one in our family has ever missed Turkey Day !!! Jan & Tom- Irmo
Our son is overseas defending this great Country. In our family we count our blessings every day. Today is a day for us to be thankful that we are Americans. Our son always tells us that American ends with “I Can”. God Bless America. Carole- Beaufort
Thanksgiving is a day for me to get away from College, have real food, be with my family, and watch football…. David- Charleston
This Thanksgiving I am thankful that I have a job. With this world the way it is, putting food on the table is enough to be thankful for… Trey- Anderson
I am not going to Cook!!!! This is the first year my daughter-in-law is having the whole family over. It promises to be an experience, because her idea of cooking is warming up pizza!!! Barb- North Myrtle Beach
I am overseas on assignment in Iraq. This is my last Thanksgiving away from home. I want to wish everyone in the US a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving. Just remember that every day is special, and we are the best Country in the entire world. Hug your family, and when you sit down for dinner, say a little prayer for all of us serving “OUR” Country… PFC TDC
